How To Build Awareness !
How To Build Awareness
1) SILENCE.
It is simple, but truth. When we are chatting and such, we can not listen too well.
Only when the car stops moving can we work on it to make repairs.
a) Take up Yoga or meditation.
b) Have a silent, dark room where you can escape for a little while.
c) When talking with someone, watch your mind to make sure you are not noisy inside.
2) FOCUS:
a. Sight: Make an effort as you are out and about to focus only on what you see.
Wear earphones with white noise or wear good earplugs.
And without any judgment at all, just observe shape and color.
b. Sound: Sit someplace public and close your eyes. Just listen to the sounds. Do this in different environments and again, do not judge… just witness the sounds. As you do this more are more, start to practice bringing your focus towards one current sound. Let that sound be the ONLY sound that you have in your mind. THIS is amazing when you are able to do it, and the practice actually lets you later on apply the skill to talking one on one with other people. And in jobs or such, people are usually very drawn to you by the simple fact that they are amazed to find someone who is actually LISTENING to what they are saying.
c. Physical Being: Every time you are out and about, stop very still for just a second and actually let your mind focus on the way your body feels, where it physically is in location of both time and space, and the energy systems that are right there all at the same time with your own.
Do this and learn how to feel being in specific points within the “Grand Dream”. When you make a map marker in your body energy of the exact what it felt to be in that single point, then you can later recall that map marker in energy and return to that point. This skill is what later results in the ability to go through time and space. And it really works and it amazing if you do this in a public place like sitting on a bench at a mall, and then later that night you return to the same place. It just feels so wild!!
3) RELAXATION:
With all of service, do it with gentle humility. Because the Ego is only a shadow inside of Source,
and we are tools for Source, the understanding of our place as being in Service to Source alone
allows us to experience total and complete freedom.
a) Work to develop awareness and skills, but realize that the work is never for “self” improvement. It is only Source doing some muscle building. So don’t take it too seriously. The Dream of Source will not collapse because “I” fail to develop “my” skills. A true servant of Source knows that they have no authority or control. And the surrender of the Ego into this service is so total that the desire to control is dropped. We serve because we have seen the Whole. We serve inside the Whole with celebration because once Source is known, only love remains inside of us. No darkness at all. I did not understand him for so long. But when I did dissolve, this remained. And a joy that no one can ever harm was all that remained.
b) We will move back and forth like breath in and out between our awareness and non-awareness. THIS is natural. If we expect our awareness to be total at all times, we are doing the same thing as holding our breath. It is not natural to do this in our reality of being within Source as a tool for service. So let it go. Let it flow. ENJOY this journey.
