You Get What You Expect !

So Why Not Expect What You Want ?

It really is almost as simple as this.

The less obvious piece is being aware

of what you are thinking and feeling on

more than just your everyday awareness level.

If you want to know what you expect take a good

look at what you have in your life and you will

find your answer.

Most people would not admit that the things

in their lives that they do not like are things

that they want.  However I am suggesting just

that; if it’s in your life you’ve attracted it by

expecting it.

By expecting I mean aligning yourself with the

idea, accepting that’s the way a thing will go

or be.  If your expectations are low  your result

will match.  We do get what we expect.

Another way of looking at expectation is

to say what you believe is true will be your

experience.  If I believe I am capable, I will be.

If I believe I am not capable, I will be.

Making sense?

So if there’s something in your life that is less

than desirable reconsider changing your thoughts,

your beliefs, your expectations.  I promise you

will be surprised with your results!

What is Your Truth?

I want to share this article my friend Beth Buelow wrote

because as conscious individuals we are always looking for what

is true, what is real, especially for ourselves.  And moving from what

the world values, thinks, decides to what we, ourselves know to be right, real,

and true for ourselves is one giant step toward maturity!

I have a little Fairy sign that says:

” Be Yourself, Everyone else is Already Taken”

What is Your Truth?

This is a question that comes up frequently during coaching sessions with my

clients. As we navigate through a situation or sticking point, the bottom-line

question is often “what’s true?” We get so caught up in stories about how things

“should” be or are “supposed” to work, that we lose touch with our core truth.

We spend lots of time listening to others and looking outside ourselves

for the answer to our challenges.

A certain amount of that is normal and even necessary (I call it research!).

Ultimately, however, once the information is gathered, it’s combined with what

you already know without asking anyone else, and the choice – the truth – is

yours alone. No one else can find our truth for us.

It’s ours to discover and claim.

One of the most profound things we can do for ourselves is to

acknowledge and stand in our truth. I imagine the truth as our

lighthouse, calling us into shore when it’s foggy, the seas are rough

or we’re ready to go home. And yet, there’s something even more basic

than knowing your truth about your values and choices. Your truth grows

out of what you believe about yourself and your inherent worth, and what

you know is true about your Purpose with a capital “P.”

I recently met Tshombe Brown, who calls himself a “magnetic entrepreneur.”

He said something simple and amazing that will stay with me forever:

“The truth will set you free. And the truth that sets me free is that

I’m Tshombe and you’re not!”

Ha! Love it! He is always secure in his truth because he is secure in

himself. He knows that he has gifts that only he can give – it doesn’t

matter if what he’s sharing has been shared a million times before –

no one else can say, write or think it like he can. Secure in that

knowledge, he is FREE to express and live his truth.

He is free to be the best Tshombe he possibly can be!

What’s my truth? In addition to “I’m Beth and you’re not!”?

It’s a question that I ask everyday. Words of truth that bubble up

are love, intention, grace… grounded in those values, I can make

choices based on what’s right for me, instead of what someone

else tells me I “should” be doing.

What is the truth you want to claim for yourself?

What will standing in that truth free up for you?

The truth isn’t “out there.” It’s in you! Are you ready for it?

This is a funny statement with an interesting story

taken from a Radio Show that I aired on January 29th

with Coach Kristy Swanson.

We were talking about

limiting beliefs people hold that keep them from

living at their fullest potential.  Kristy shared this

saying that people in Australia use when someone is

going on about their strengths.

They say, ” Don’t be the tallest poppy!”

I actually heard Puppy but Kristy

really did say Poppy.  We decided it was OK that I change

the saying  for myself and I also chose to change the directive.

You see the saying, Don’t be the tallest poppy is a

warning to NOT stand out by bragging.  Some of us

got this message as children and were told

attracting attention to ourselves was somehow wrong.

Not to mention the assumption that accepting and

focusing on strengths could be bragging or unattractive~

Consequently the people that

took this advice to heart might begin to focus more on

their weaknesses and somehow that was more attractive!??

Of course not, but the damage was done.

Inherent in this message was;

” Who do you think you are?”

As champions of our clients’ greatness and desire

to help them actualize all of their potential

Kristy and I are shouting;

BE the Tallest Poppy, in my case, Puppy!

Why?

Because being the tallest puppy is about being honest

and present to our talents and greatness.

Saying yes to stepping up and out of the shadows

is a part of every one’s journey who wants to live

Authentically and  Purposefully.

In the words of Marianne Williamson:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented,

and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t

serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about

shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born

to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we

let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people

permission to do the same. As we are liberated from

our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

So you see, we truly are serving when we share our greatness

with our self, first by admitting the truth of our innate

amazingness (my word) to ourselves and then putting those

talents to work in the world following our hearts

and our passions in service to others.

And like Marianne points out, when we live

our greatness out loud we become role models

for those who have yet to embrace their fullness

giving them ‘permission’ to follow in our footsteps.

I can’t think of a better reason to take a look within

and see if you still have any of those dis-empowering

beliefs and messages from long ago that keep you playing small,

hiding in the shadows from your own greatness!

I was asked by a friend what effect false premises might

have when people are practicing

the law of attraction:

The Law of Attraction states that our thoughts

and feelings attract our experiences and if we

are conscious we can use this law to attract that

which we want.  The law works whether we are

using it deliberately or have no idea of its existence.

Those who want to be more active in their experience

and take more responsibility for their lives are

practicing this law consciously as co-creators with the

Universe/ God/ All that is…..

Here are some I’ve done and seen done:

Creating from a place of LACK = LACK
Creating from fear brings fear
Creating from desire brings desire

I think you’re seeing the point.  One of the Quotes from my book

UNDRESSING GOD says, ” My Intention creates my result.”

Specifically, If someone is wanting a mate they may do everything right

in forming the picture of what they are wanting to attract but the  ENERGY

of the wanting way out weighs the words and thoughts.

Some of you may have heard the chanelings of Abraham and he

talks a lot about the juice, the energy, the emotion and how that

is the real fuel that rockets the desired into manifestation right?

I’ll share the story about the flat tire to demonstrate my point.

When I wished these careless teenagers who were driving

recklessly through the parking lot a flat tire

with a lot of energy in the form of anger and then less than a mile down

the road I got a flat tire…. And then I stood there and wished all the

drivers passing by luck with the lottery, well I didn’t win the lottery

but I did get the flat tire!

That sums up my point,

I wished those teenagers would get

a flat tire with all my heart  I saw it and I felt it,

I thought it would teach them a lesson that I felt they

desperately needed to get!

When I wished my fellow drivers would win the lottery

that was coming from a place of lack in me.

I was trying to ‘cash in’

on a principle I had just clearly seen demonstrated before me.

The only difference in the two ‘prayers’ was the energy around

my intention.  Now you might ask, Why did ‘you’ get the flat tire

and not those teenagers?

Good Question, now we’re into another

Spiritual Law; you cannot create in another persons world.

We are all co-creating with the Spirit that resides with us

and  UNLESS the other person we

are wishing something for wishes it also for themselves and is open

to receiving it, our prayer, our wish, boomerangs right back to it’s creator,

in this case me.  I got what I sent out because those teenagers

certainly weren’t open to learning the lesson I felt they needed

AND certainly were not wanting a flat tire to spoil their fun.

The last point I’ll make is the speed at which I received my creation.

It took less than 4 minutes to manifest EXACTLY what I wished for!

Why?

Because of the amount of clarity and energy

that was behind the words I spoke!

As we enter 2010 we have both an opportunity and a responsibility

to continue to awaken the Spirit that is the truth of who we are.

In order to be successful we must wake up to whatever we may be

subscribing to, addicted to, comforted by, and believing that may

not be true.

This leads to a fearless search within to reveal any beliefs,

habits, patterns, and rituals that we endorsed through our

behavior that are now limiting us in experience and expression.

Keep in mind that comfort zones are not necessarily named so because

they are comfortable.  Comfort is what is familiar.  Many comfort zones

are in fact very uncomfortable but they are comforting in that they

are familiar, known, and give a sense and illusion of control.

My resolution will continue to be my intention to always be open

and receptive to eliminate comfort zones that are not empowering and

to place myself in environments with other like minded individuals that

will endorse and empower my true nature as a Being of Light.

May 2010 be for you miraculous and loving in ways that lead you

and those around you into a greater state of awareness and compassion

that inspires action and passion!
